I, like so many, grew up watching Roy Rogers and Dale Evans on TV. I waited anxiously for Sundays for that brief visit through the TV to see Roy, Dale, Trigger, Buttermilk, Bullet, Pat and Nelliebelle at the Double R Bar Ranch. I have lived in Tucson for many years now, before in rural part of CA on 40 acres, but like Roy I was born in the city, in NJ. However, it is now hard to find the city in me... I have had and loved horses; recently placed last 3 in a permanent sanctuary never to be sold, auctioned away from thos secure surroundings as I am nearly 65, disabled, and a widow, so this was best for them as well as for me to know the youngest, Holly, would always be safe in the future years of her life. Though I do appreciate that a TV station bought the mounted Trigger and Bullet, I do hope they know how to care for those precious memories of America's TV past and history to preserve them... And, I do pray that, if they so not need any longer, that this TV station has the courtesy to donate them to the Smithsonian for free... that goes for anyone else who bought any items from the recent sale at Christy's... Does anyone know what happened to the mounted Buttermilk, Dale's horse, or Trigger, Jr or Lil' Trigger?
Tish Schau Tucson, AZ USA - 08/21/10 at 04:28:18 (EST) ![]() I will be 63 this year and Roy and Dale were my special TV friends. I miss their wholesome, sincere ways and wish there were more like them. Please keep me updated. Marie Hansen
Nancy M. Shea Columbus, OH USA - 07/13/10 at 01:13:36 (EST) ![]() Please remember me to Nancy and Larue Horsley also, Pat and Mike Crabtree.
On my two visits to wonderful Portsmouth, they help make my stay GREAT. Keep up the great work of Roy and Dale.
![]() My daughter was married to a wonderful man until he died 4 yrs ago. His sister is Cris Arklin who lives in Valyermo, Calif. Her brother-in-law Lev Arklin owns the horse Triggerson the grandson of Trigger, Jr. I don't believe the original Trigger had any off springs. Triger, Jr. appeared in many times as a dancing horse. I know that Mr. Arklin still owned the horse in 2006 because i have a picture of my daughter and son with the horse. My grandchildren were alloed to touch but not ride Uncle Lev's Triggerson. Didn't know if you might be interested in where some of the grandsons and daughters of Trigger might be.
![]() So happy to have grown up in the age of the TV cowboy. Roy and Dale were a wonderful Christian example for children to look up to. As a child, I imagined a lot. My bike was my horse and I would put it in the garage (stall). I was Dale. At 60 yr. old, I now sing "Happy Trails to You" with my older friend, Frank. The song is still beautiful to my ears. Thank you for keeping the memories alive.
![]() I have a letter from you dust, from about 20 years ago, it was about my barn dance in Tucson, you probably dont remember,we were trying to get roy there. chuck and mae camp were in my band for 7 years, I know you know them, the Triple C Chuck Wagon. Any way, I am 74 now and I have cried many times, I loved your Dad, and as a kid, I'd stomp on my cans to my feet, that became Trigger, and so on, you know the storie. I probably wont hear from you, I have a broken heart, I hate these days we have today, we are going under very fast, but, on the other hand, we will see jesus soon. Love to you Dusty and your family, I wish you much sucess. I have built a little cowboy town here on the property, and I can play cowboy any time I want..ODDD- DEEE- OATS PARDNER... FRANK, MY FRIENDS CALL ME HILLBILLIE

WEB SITE: iamjohntheeggman.com
![]() Have been a Roy Rogers fan all my life. Saw him in person as a child when he appeared at the St. Louis Arena. Was very impressed as he was transported from a local hospital where he was confined with pneumonia so he would not miss his performance with Trigger for the kids. At the conclusion, the same ambulance carried him back to the hospital. This was at a time before we had all the modern antibiotics. Though ill, he still performed many of his strenuous horseback tricks and circled the Arena on Trigger to shake as many hands as he could reach over the rail. I'm sure he and Dale continue to sing Happy Trails together.
![]() Stumbled across this gorgeous site, while researching Roy Rogers Museum)s specifically the museums before Branson, Mo. location
![]() Wow I went to school with James Hampton at John H Reagan imagine that ? cool it was great reading all about Roy and Dale and everyone else . He was my saturdays on tv . I miss them both .My Mom who was in the army really liked him a lot . She said he was so real .
![]() We are just starting to attend all the Great Cowboy festivals in Ohio. Looking forward to it. My wife and I had the privilege to be in the audience of the Sons of The Pioneers in Branson, when they talked to Roy live on his last birthday as it turned out. We all sang happy bithday to him! He did a little rodleing for us. Never will forget that!!
![]() We are big Roy and Dale fans. I have a lot of respect for Dale and what she did for people with down syndrome.
![]() We look forward to seeing you all at The Roy Rogers Festival on Saturday!!!! Thank you in advance.....Great website!
![]() We can't wait to see all the "family" in Portsmouth! It's always a huge "Rogers Family" reunion! A MOST wonderful time!
Love you all!!!! See you soon!
![]() We have our room reservations and I will be forwarding a form for our MEMBERSHIP as well as for the events for this Festival. We are looking forward to our FIRST Roy Rogers Festival in Portsmouth, OH. I love this website -- Roy singing all the time in the background -- how great!!! Hope the host motel is decent -- it apparently has varying degrees of comments on it. Thanks so much and Happy Trails Always!!!!
![]() Thank you for letting us know and Til we meet again, Happy Trails!
![]() Always wanted to be part of the Rogers family. Since Roy was older than my daddy, and already married, I finally figured out my best bet was to be adopted. Always wanted to be Dusty's sister. As a tom-boy, I figured I could keep up with him! Now my goal is to support the Rogers family and help keep the memories of Roy & Dale going. Hope to be at the festival. Thanks for your work on this big project! Keep Livin' the Code!
![]() I am glad that Roy is finally getting a stamp. Our post office is planning something for the event. My husband is going to put some of his memoribilia on display. Now we need to get Trigger a stamp. Its too bad about the museum closing.
![]() We sure would like to be put on an email list and hope to get to the Festival soon -- maybe this year. Thanks -- Happy Trails.
PS. LOVE THE MUSIC & THE ARTISTS!! :-0
![]() I'd like to come to the festival this year.
![]() Carol Jean Mathes Youngstown, OH USA - 03/12/10 at 20:26:38 (EST) ![]() The wife and I grew up watching Roy and Dale movies.
We were lucky enough to see their museum in CA before they closed it. Who purchased the things in it,like Trigger, just curious.
Jerry C.
![]() Roy was my mom's and my girlfriend favorite cowboy. I hope to bring them this year.

![]() My boyhood hero!!! So sad to hear the Museum in Branson closed. I visited the museum when it was in Apple Valley before Roy died. Happy Trails partner!!!
![]() See you there for the first time
![]() I enjoy Roy Rogers Festival.
![]() I just read the 2010 Roy Rogers Festival lineup of Guests. All those guest stars and Belinda Gail as special entertainment, come on...it does not get better that this.I am making my hotel reservations early because a sellout is for sure.
![]() I had a Roy Rogers lunchbox when I was a kid growing up in South Dakota. I read and re-read Roy and Dale comic books that had been my Uncles when he was a boy. Sure wish I still had them. I visited the Museum in Victorville, CA back in the early '90s. I loved it. I was sorry to hear it moved to Branson and I was even sorrier to hear it was closing for good. Signed always a fan, Corinne
![]() I have 2 Roy Rogers Saddles. Any idea where I can get the value of them? Thanks, Gary
![]() Roy still is an example of how to behave with dignity and honor even when famous.
An example to all.Greg Gerhard
![]() Would like to attend your event sometime in period outfit protraying my grandfather. Will be in your area at that time.
![]() I like this very much, thanks Buffalo Gal.
![]() Keep up the good work.
![]() I love your web site!
![]() Plan to have two of our palomino's at the festival in 2010 for the first time. Especially after visiting the Roy Roger's museum our only time before it closed noting our one horse is paractically a clone of Trigger Jr. Anyone who has some advice on being in the parade etc or accomodations for horses, please email us since we won't be familiar with the area or know anyone.
Thanks!
![]() May the memories we have of the "KING OF THE COWBOYS" never die.
![]() Hello~
![]() I've been a fan of Roy Rogers and the Sons Of the Pioneers for many years! I am 76 and approaching my own twilight years! Sad to learn that the end is near for the Museum, but not the memories!! ![]() Have not been there since the 1980s.
![]() I was saddened to hear of the closing of the Roy Rogers-Dale Evans museum. Looking forward to attending the festival next year - we have never attended. I just finished reading "Cowboy Princess" by Cheryl Rogers Barnett. Excellent book.
![]() I learned about the festival from, of all things, a film by Thys Ockersen titled, Roy Rogers King of the Cowboys.
I teach at a private school and my classes don't end until June 15, so attending is going to be hard to arrange, but with the closing of the Roy Rogers - Dale Evans Museum in Branson this December, the festival is more important than ever. Thank you for helping to keep alive the legacy of Roy and Dale. I will try to bring out my family in 2010.
![]() My husband is an avid collector of Roy Rogers collectibles and we are planning our first trip to next years festival. We are traveling from Pennsylvania and appreciate any reccomendations on places to stay. And are so thankful we found this site on internet as hubby thought it was discontinued.
![]() Roy was, and I guess, will always be my idol. Ever since I can remember he was always #1. I regret never having met him in person, for he was and is the SuperStar of all times
![]() Roy Rogers is my hero! I had my picture taken with him, Dale Evans, and Trigger in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, when I was about 10 or 12 years old (1950 or 1952). I was in heaven! My Mom and I got to go backstage because we knew someone working there. Mom chatted with Dale about kids, etc. I wish I still had all those comic books with his picture on them that I bought at the drug store. I still have the autographed program from that performance.
![]() I would love to get there for the next Festival. Never been there. Used to live in Ohio, but did not get there then. It would be great to save enough to get there. Hopefully I will.
![]() I'm really looking forward to this.
![]() I am looking to purchase the movie Macintosh and TJ and was wondering if you knew where it could be purchased.
Thanks, HAPPY TRAILS AND GOD BLESS TO YOU!
![]() I met Roy Rogers on Feb. 15, 1998. We had lunch with his daughter Cheryl. Then met her parents at the museum in Victorville. I have a question. I am not sure of the date of his death. Could you please give me that information? We hope to someday to attend your festival. Thank you so much. Susan
![]() Saw my sister on the internet.
![]() This is my first knowledge of this Festival! Born & raised at Lucasville, it would be nice to visit on this occasion. Thank you for this website and I will forward it to some of my relatives in Ohio. Jean Odneal
![]() To my favorite two people in the world who brought me many hours of enjoyment
![]() Just stopping by to wish you all the best this year, with The Roy Rogers Festival.
![]() I also grew up in love with Roy & Dale and nothing has changed since then. I have wanted to attend the festival for year's. I think I might make it this year. Happy Trails
![]() Roy is a true hero of good morals not like some of the heros of today. Roy will keep on living and giving forever.
![]() My Dad's name was Roy Rogers, born 11/5/1899, died in 1979. We always had horses on the farm including a "palamino". ![]() I've been a Roy Rogers fan ever since can remember. Roy and Dale did a great job in the movies and songs that they sang.
![]() Have been a fan of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans for over 50 years. They were the best role models kids could have growing up. I was raised on a farm in Virginia and we played cowboys and indians with Roy and Dale as the good guys. We have had numerous items from that era and they bring back such great memories. Events like you have each year takes us back when things were so simple. Keep up the good work and happy trails to you.
![]() First met Roy Rogers & Dale in my hometown of Huntington,WV. 1950, Memphis FH show & many times later in Nashville. Would love to attend your Portsmouth events too.
![]() I just read the great lineup of guest stars and entertainers for the 2009 Roy Rogers Festival. It looks like a fun train headed for Portsmouth. All these folks are outstanding guests so expect a real treat from start to finish. All you cowboys and cowgirls better pack your bunkroll, shine your spurs, and head for the big show June 3-6, 2009. You do not want to miss this one.
![]() I am so happy to hear that such a popular Cowboy is in the mind of so many Americans. This was the golden age of the US. I was raised in Cuba and used to collect his comic books. At the present time I am trying to complete the RR collection of comics. God Bless America and an era that will not return. A festival like this gives me a mixture of sadness and happiness. Good luck from Miami. Tony, a Roy Rogers fan! ![]() I learned to yodel by listenng to Roy Rogers records (78rpm) when I was younger. I entertain in nursing homes, etc. by singing old 'Roy' and 'Gene' songs - and folks who remember them are really delighted.
![]() A true christian family in it's entirety; that would be the Roy Roger's family. A blessing to have known would be an understatement. The many silver screen guests so friendly and amazingly entertaining. May the good Lord bless and keep you. Thank you for the past years and memories.
![]() I inherited my mother's collection. Newspaper clipings, photo's, & memobillia.
Mother saved everything she could aquire from any source possible. She passed at age 85.
![]() WHAT FUN!
![]() I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED ROY ROGER MOVIES. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF McINTOSH AND TJ IS ON DVD. I MET ROY ROGERS WHEN HE WAS FILMING THIS AND WATCHED THIS MOVIE ONCE AT THE THEATER. I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR IT TO BUY BUT CAN NOT FIND IT. CAN YOU PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF IT IS ON DVD OR NOT. THANKS EVA
![]() Please keep me informed as plans for the festival are firmed up. I would like to attend for the first time. I am in hopes that my workload will allow that to happen!
![]() I am 60 yrs young. I remember watching Roy and Dale when I was very young. I have loved them all my life. I was hoping to see Roy while he was still among the living but I guess I'll have to wait to see him later. His legend will live on forever.
![]() I was born in Portsmouth, OH in 1952 but haven't been back since I was an infant. I am so proud you are continuing to honor Roy and Dale. I'm proud to be from Portsmouth because Roy was raised there. I am just finding out about this festival through the Roy Rogers newsletter, and I am hoping my schedule will allow me to attend sometime in the future.
![]() Hi, My husband was born into a very poor family in GA. and his best memory when he was a boy was when his family bought a TV-and he could watch the Roy Rogers' movies! I am always looking for more of his movies. We went to Branson last year and the Roy Roger's Museum, out of all the attractions there, was his favorite and mine, too. It wasn't just 'fun', it was a wonderful experience. We learned so much of their personal lives and what wonderful people they were. We learned so much about them. Hopefully we will be able to go again sometime, plus go to the Roy Roger's Festival-my husband would LOVE that! I need to get more information about that. Anyway, thanks for listening and just ONE more thing-this is a WONDERFUL website!!
![]() My whole childhood I dreamed of someday getting to meet Roy Rogers. I never did but went to Branson last year and got to meet his son. It was great.
![]() Love them both. He was my hero growing up. I am 70 now.
![]() I am planning on coming to Roy and Dales festival. Can you get a Roy Rogers lunch box from the festival?
Would like to receive email about the ROY
ROGERS Festival. I finally visited the museum in Branson, MO last year. It was a dream come true.
I have been a life long fan. Can't get enough of Roy + Dale. I am looking foward too seeing you at the 2009 festival.
I met Roy in Ft Myers, FL many years ago. Great site can't wait to come to the festival this year. (first time) Mickey Spearman
Anxious to come to your festival this year.
I just wanted to thank you for sharing that with us. We are finding that our Uncle Ray was loved by so many people. We may never know how many people he touch while here. Now he is walking in Heaven with all the people he so loved that had went on. Happy Trails to you all, and again, thank you!
Hi Folks, This site is great! It should really help get people interested. I (as usual) hope to see ya'all at the festival and I do plan on setting up again. Had a great time last year.
So long for now... Happy Canters from the real cowboy...
Roy Rogers and Dale Evans were my childhood heros. Now in my older age I can appreciate the values that they conveyed to us "kids". I really appreciate the prayer and rules the fans were to live by.
I have always wanted a Roy Rogers saddle and I think I have found a vintage pony saddle that has been patterned after his saddle and I am going to try and buy it for the grandkids to ride parades in.
God Bless,
Although we are not look-alikes, we still promote the morals, goodness, and our heroes of what we stood for back then. Those traditions will never leave us, Thanks to Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. Our Parade horses & costumes have awards thanks to the judges who knew them.
My step-grandfather was a cousin to Roy Rogers. He is gone now {Floyd Monk}, but my family has many stories of how he would make you laugh. I enjoy those stories and I enjoy this website. It's great!!
I'm 64. I have many memories of Roy Rogers.
It is Always a distinct pleasure to come to this site; Very Enjoyable! The Fans of RR/DE are "the Best"! May Each Of You Ride Many Long and Happy Trails In This Life and Beyond!
My dear Mother's uncle was Roy Brigner who helped teach Leonard to play the guitar and whose name Leonard then took. Roy Rogers was and remains a true American hero and I just know he and Dale are still playing and singing and making Heaven an ever happier place by their presence.
I was lucky enough to meet Roy Rogers at his museum in Victorville, CA. He was the warmest, sincere person I've ever met. I'll always cherish that experience.
I was Motion Picture Projectionist after school at the two theaters WAR, WVA and always loved running the Roy Rogers Westerns. Seems like I knew him personally. You can see me in the photo section GRAND THEATER of the McDowell County WVA website
I watched Roy and Dale when I was a little girl. God bless them both in Heaven.
I visited the Roy Rogers museum in Portsmouth several years ago. Would like to visit the festival next year if possible. Do
you still publish a news letter anymore?
I am unable to attend, but I am a born resident of Portsmouth and my grandmother was Louella Sly Chinn. A very nice web site.
I hope to attend the festival next year. I'm really excited that I discovered the website. Sheila Smith
I really enjoyed performing at the Festival, and meeting the stars. This will be a great memory. Hope to catch up with all of you next year!
This will be my first time going to the festval on Saturday and I am really looking forward to it. Even though I am an old lady now they were always my heros. How do you be in their fan club or can you? Thanks so much!
My wife and I have been before and we're looking forward to attending once again. We had a great time and I even got to have my picture taken with my hero's daughter!
It's getting close to time for another good festival.
Please send me information about the upcoming event. My father (age 75) was born and raised in the Minford/Portsmouth area and my sister and I thought it might make a nice surprise getaway to take him to.
At this time, I doubt we can attend. I do enjoy reading all about it. How I wish I could be there. We shall see. Thank you for all you do by providing this information. God Bless All
Have never been to the Festival but look forward to a great trip this year.
The pre-sale tickets are going fast for the Friday night show at the Cadillac Ranch. If you haven't purchased yours, call Harold at 740-370-5026\
Just a Texas Gal like our Dale Evans Rogers. I still don't have all the box's open from the auctions. I had twelve western pictures already in frames given to me this last week. One picture signed by Roy and Dale. The Lord just keeps blessing this old lady. Pray that my health holds so we can make the festival this year. Love you all!!
I'll be there with my Canon camera. I'm a freelance photojournalist and will help you in any way I can. I can shoot many photos and put them on a C D for you.// Very lucky to be at the Festival the last time Roy & Dale were there. Will bring some photos I shot. Sincerely, James Parsons
The Cadillac Ranch is pre-selling tickets for the Friday night "Show of the Stars". For info, and/or to purchase your ticket, call Harold at 740-370-5026.
We think that Roy and Dale were two of the greatest Americans that ever lived. They were an inspiration to us. We constantly tell our children and grandchildren and great-granchildren how they spoke of Jesus and lived their lives to show that they believed.
I will be one of the performers on Friday night during the festival, when the stars come to the Cadillac Ranch in Lucasville, for the show. Everyone is welcome. Hope to see ya'll there.
I would love to be able to come to the festival. My friend and I say every year we need to try to come. However, she lives in Colorado and I have had some health problems, so we have to just keep wishing. I know it will be good. Anything to do with Roy and Dale is the best.
This will be my first Roy Rogers festival and I am looking so forward to it. I hope to meet a lot of new friends.
Look for me, I will be wearing a shirt with a lot of rhinestones, I mean a lot of rhinestones. See y'all out on the trail.
Don't miss the big Roy Rogers Festival June 4-7, 2008. It will be the 25th Anniversary celebration and you are sure to have a rip roarin' time.

Hello~
I'm so glad that I found a Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Website! It's WONDERFUL!! I was born and raised in Portsmouth,Ohio and moved farther North in my early gradeschool years. My grandfather went to school with Roy and talked highly of him. His name was Lowell Byerly. My other grandfather worked as a millwright at Portsmouth Steel Mill until he retired and my grandmother Ruby(Crawford) Plummer worked at the Williams Shoe Factory. Could you send me information on the next Roy Rogers Festival? That would be great! We travel to Kentucky every summer for our family reunion so, we would leave earlier if we knew when it was. Thank you very much!
Linda Roeber
Linda
Great site. I understand the US Post Office is going to put out a Hopalong Cassidy stamp. I sure hope they also do a Roy Rogers stamp.
I grew up watching Roy & Dale when I was a kid. Those were the days when you had somebody to look up to. God Bless.
I use to get a note from Roy & Dale's manager Mr.Art Rush, when ever they was going to be close by and for me to come and visit with them. So I have good memories of them. They were real good people and still The King of the Cowboys & the Queen of the West. I loved them.
Love the site! Haven't missed a festival in years. Always a great weekend. Keep up the good work. I hope the festival keeps on for many more years.
Please keep me up to date on the festival. I've attended three times previously and would hate to miss it!
Fantastic!!
Found this site by accident! Hope to visit this June. I always wanted to be a cowboy and Dale was my hero! Thank you for doing this!
Just loved Roy & Dale, will try to make it to the festival

I'm so happy to find out that there is a Roy Rogers festival. I will try to be there in June. Great web site! Hope to be there in June with a bunch of family members. May the good Lord take a likin to us all.
Thanks,
My mom went to school with Roy Rogers and was raised up in Portsmouth... She lived up Duck Run... I was home a few years ago, but want to come back in June for the festival and bring my daughter... It's sad that she wont be able to see the Portsmouth I was raised with, but I brought her down when my brother died and she fell in loved with it as I did all over again... I had come home... See ya in June, Lord willing...
Roy is my 2nd cousin. Roy's Mother was my Grandmother's Sister. Aunt Mattie was a dear lady. We are full time RVer's and plan on attending your 25th festival, Happy Trails
I just visited your site. I love hearing Roy and Dale singing "May the good Lord take a likin to ya" It is so refreshing to visit and I thank you for making this possible. Best regards for a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration.
Been to Branson, MO couple of times. Would like to come to your festival in 2008.
I'm just a Roy Rogers fan.'
Roy was a personnal friend of mine. I met him in NYC at Madison Square Garden and remained friends all the years until he passed. Happy Trails Roy & May the Good Lord take a liken to ya. God Bless you always.Your saddle pal, BERNIE>

Greetings from the Beautiful Bluegrass State of Kentucky. This site is a delightful place to visit and think of yesteryear. Keep up the good work, we really appreciate your hard work.
Greetings from Indiana. I've been to the Portsmouth festival several times and hope to go again. Thank you for keeping the great western heritage of Roy Rogers alive and well.
My husband & I are delighted to find this website as Roy Rogers is my 4th cousin 3 times removed. I have been trying to find more genealogical info. on my Great Grandfather Clark Slye's family, so a visit to the Festival is on my genealogy "To do" list! This is an incredible site!
This website is pretty good. I haven't been on for a while.
What a fun website. I didn't know a festival existed. What a nice surprise.
Howdy--- I just thought I would check out the website. Very good still. I just love it. Happy Trails to you.
It's been sometime since I've been on this website. You sure can stay hours on here. I really like it! Happy Trails!
I really do enjoy the music I listen to on here. And I always do enjoy the festival. You meet lots of new friends. Hope to see everyone back next year.
I enjoyed the festival this year, but would like to see more Roy Roger cap guns and other of his toys next year.
I have an album #215, 38 records.
Great Site, I was at the festival once several years ago and hope to return next year.
We had a fabulous time at the 2007 Roy Rogers Festival!! LaRue and Nancy always out-do themselves each year. It was great seein' old friends and extended family members and meetin' some new ones. It's so true as some have mentioned it's like havin' a "Family Reunion" each year. Thanks to all of the RR-DE Collectors Association Members for all their hard work and devotion for a wonderful festival this year. Lookin' forward to 2008!!
I had a good time at the festival this year and met some new friends.
Roy was my hero when I was a child. I'll always love him. I was raised in Lancaster, PA, but my parents moved us to AZ where the cowboys live. Roy and Dale are wonderful people who loved children and life. I saw the Roy Rogers-Dale Evans Museum when in California. I would play the Sons of the Pioneers records (which Roy founded) when I was a kid, not knowing that the man I would marry actually knew Roy & Dale when they lived in Victorville/Apple Valley, CA. I wanted to marry a man just like Roy and I think I hit the jack pot. My husband can sing and horseback ride. What great memories of the "Roy Rogers Show". I hope someday to attend the festival with my husband. Gayle P. Hartman-Weatherford
Thanks for your work towards this event, I missed it this year as I was not aware of the dates for the event, maybe more PR work in the future.........tnx again for your work...cfr
This page brings back so many wonderful memories! Happy Trails forever
I am a l955 graduate of PHS - and think it's a nice tradition to honor Roy Rogers who will always be in the memories of people who grew up in our hometown.
We will be coming to the festival for the first time tomorrow.
Nancy & Larue - It is a great website! I talked with you a couple of weeks back about coming down for the Festival. I'm bringing my 4 yr. old son and 2 yr. old daughter today. We're looking forward to it ... especially the 4 yr. old who loves Roy!
I really like the music that has been added to the website. And Nancy, you are in our Prayers.
I have been a Roy Rogers Fan, starting in 1948. That makes is me a fan for 59 years.
Roy Rogers was my hero growing up because of what he stood for. Our children need role models like Roy and Dale today. Hopefully we will be able to attend festival this year. It will be a first. Thank you, LaRue and Nancy for hosting it and for providing this website. Happy Trails to you!
Maybe next year I can go!
LIKE SO MANY OTHER KIDS, I GREW UP WITH ROY AND DALE AS MY HEROES. THEY STILL ARE AND ARE WORTHY TO BE SO. THEY WERE AND ARE A GODLY EXAMPLE TO OUR LIVES. MY FAMILY AND I GOT TO VISIT THEIR MUSEUM IN VICTORVILLE, CA YEARS AGO. IT WAS ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS OF MY LIFE. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK HONORING ROY ROGERS AND DALE EVANS. I am in Arizona right now. Someday I'd like to attend your festival. My brother and sister-in-law (Bud and Peggy Norris) are faithful attenders and go every year to the Roy Rogers Festival. Wishing you well........M. Wenger
LaRue and Nancy, Glad the festival is going strong once more. Looking forward to festival time. It won't be too long now! We pray Nancy's health is doing better. Take care and see you both in four weeks.
Glad the festival is back on this year!
It is great to see that something you were invlolved in from its inception is still going strong. Like many, many people I watched Roy on TV as a kid and still think of all of those great Would be interested in receiving any future emails, etc.
Nancy and LaRue, Nice things are happening up your way the end of May. We are going to try and make it up your way for the Roy Rogers Festival. My brother told us about your festival and gave us the website address so we could see for ourselves. All we can say is, May the good Lord bless you both! "Happy Trails" Loved the songs!
AWESOME WEBSITE!!
StoneyBrooke, sure is looking forward to being with you all this year. Hope you all have a very successful festival this year. Until we meet again. Happy Trails to You
Roy Rogers was my hero growing up. He and Dale Evans were wonderful people who helped many moms and dads teach us young cowboys and cowgirls the right way to be toward our fellowman. I am very thankful these two were around for the children of my generation. I applaud your organization for having a festival each year to honor The King of the Cowboys.
I am enjoying this excellent site. Thanks for putting this together for the fans. It is always refreshing to see RR on a website and this one in particular! This Man was Our Hero and a Man we all have looked to for many years as a person that taught us so much...He makes me feel proud to be an American! Roy; Thanks for All You did for All of Us!
Howdy!! When I was a young cowgirl, my friends and I played Roy Rogers & Dale Evans after school. To this day, I keep in touch with a few of them and we reminisce of the great times we had as a child. God's Blessings to you for keeping them alive in our hearts forever.
Love your website! Roy & Dale were true American Icons and you show them proudly on your site. You're far away from us but I will check with the wife and see if there is a way if we can make the trip out to Portsmouth. Hope to visit with y'all the end of May. Many thanks for what you are doing!!
Hello Nancy & LaRue, My husband and I love Roy & Dale! We watched their movies, their TV show and caught them as guest stars on several other's programs. I enjoyed Dale's "A Date with Dale" on TBN. I'm very glad you two and the people in Portsmouth, OH are keeping their memory alive by having a great festival each year. We'll certainly try and make this one. I just found your website. Thanks again for what you all are doing to preserve their wonderful legacy.
My fondest memories of my childhood are of waking up on Saturday mornings and watching Roy Rogers, Sky King, and Fury, but my favorite was always Roy, Dale, Trigger, Bullet and Pat. I want to come and see this, because this was real TV, before all this political correct TV. I haven't shot or tried to kill anybody from all the violence I saw on TV. Because I KNEW it wasn't real, it was fantasy, MOVIES! Entertainment! Long live Roy's memory!
My husband and I sure would like to come to your festival, but we're so far away. Maybe we'll be able to attend this fine event in a year or two. Have a wonderful time for us.
Nancy & LaRue. Wow How nice this site is. Beautiful in color and detail. Looking forward to seeing you. Pat & I are still planning to come and see old friends. Love to all. Sounds like everyone is excited as well.
Nancy and LaRue, So sorry we can't make it this year, but we are so thankful that Roy and Dale's memory is still living on. They were both such wonderful people.
We love and miss you all.
Love always, The Carter Sisters, and Loretta in memory.
Glad that Nancy is back in action, and looking forward to seeing you next month.
Bud and Peggy Norris I certainly wish I could be there for the fun but I already have plans to be in the area later in June and July. Have a great time.
Hello, Just wait until I show this website to my wife! She will love it! I don't know if we can travel that far, but we will do our best to try and come to this fine event in honor of Roy Rogers, King of the Cowboys. Thanks so much for the efforts you are doing!
I typed in Roy Rogers Festival and it took me right to your webite. We're so glad there is going to be a Roy Rogers Festival. We hope to be there enjoying everything you have available and the friendly atmosphere we've enjoyed in the past.
